During term time we have set up a Saturday club, or Stay and play for children and, another club adults with learning disabilities or autism.
Parents are expected to stay to support each other as well as being-on hand as we get to know your child. We have held a few workshops run by professional creative therapists and activity leaders, for art, music, craft, drama, massage to mention a few. Feel free to suggest others that might benefit your child.
Once a term we aim for the club to be a day out like going to the climbing wall, swimming or taking a trip to the Science museum.
The Weekend Clubs help to develop skills whilst building relationships and widening social networks. Giving the participants something to look forward to. The clubs are vibrant, fun and full of variety.
PARENTS
Due to funding issues, we have had to close the clubs until the new year. If you are a parent with a disabled child and would like to be a part of these support initiatives, please do get in touch with us by emailing projects@kithandkids.org.uk
