We need you
Kith & Kids is a small, pioneering organisation with a big task: supporting our membership of families with one or more people who have a disability as well as providing services to non-members. We need all the support we can get in terms of people's time, expertise and goodwill, to do that task to the highest possible standard. Our 30 years experience has taught us that none of us individually can be overall experts, but that all of us (members, volunteers and staff) working together as a team can achieve great things. Things that improve the quality of life of people who have a disability and their families.
You can help us as an organisation in a variety of ways, some of which are listed below...
Can you help? We need support in the following areas:
Fundraising - from shaking a tin during a collection event to doing a sponsored trek or parachute jump, to offering and/or helping us develop new fundraising ideas.
Admin - helping us with major mail-outs (i.e. lots of photo-copying and stuffing/stamping envelopes) and/or publicity material distribution (e.g. door-to-door leaflets).
Marketing - helping us raise our public profile as well as that of the needs of people with learning disabilities generally in effective ways.
Designing - helping us produce training and publicity materials that support our marketing, volunteer recruitment and training needs.
Committee Member - supporting adhoc and/or being part of our management committee. To support us maintaining high standards we'd particularly welcome people with legal expertise, and/or expertise re good practice in the charity/voluntary sector.
Volunteer Recruiter - helping us recruit new volunteers to work directly with our members on our projects/activities Whether you can offer adhoc or ongoing support, we want to hear from you.
