Reserve £200.00 - 'Children and Football'
Framed – Collage: paper and pen – 40 cm x 42 cm
‘I primordially decided to submit a piece of art for ‘Canvassing Spurs’ because this event is aiming to raise money for a children’s charity. This important fact inspired me. My first thought was to interpret the essence of football and especially Spurs through the eyes of a child.
Children love sport - football because it’s simply a fun game to play or to watch. So I decided to play too with simple shapes, paper, pen, primary colours and animal shapes to create a fun puzzle representing Spurs’ logo in a more simple way.
The background writing was done by my boyfriend, Danny, because his favourite team is Spurs. Moreover, in comparison to the bold children’s illustration, I also wanted to convey the brilliance of Spurs through an adult point of view with the use of words.
The main idea of the competition is to give, give something to children and may be give the opportunity to my boyfriend to meet his favourite team.
