Robb Carswell Reserve £100.00 Canvas and acrylic – 16” x 16” The painting’s inspired by the 1961 Cup Final victory against Leicester. Danny Blanchflower holds the Cup aloft with the 1st Cup and League Double of the century. Working mainly with organic found materials, Robb’s work is largely influenced by experiences of health, including his own epilepsy, his son’s asthma, and his wife’s breast cancer. Based in the Midlands, Robb graduated from De Montfort University in 2004. Since then he has been involved in Big Arts week, Sideshow 06, and also in Charade with Simon Pope in Birmingham. This year he has been successful in the national photography competition run by DIAL (Disability Arts in London). Robb has recently returned from South Africa where he was able to begin photographic work of people and nature. As an artist with hidden disabilities himself, he’s keen to be involved in work which challenges stereotypes of disability and is very pleased to be supporting this event. |
