Edgar Davids – 9th of a series of 10 called "The Winning Moment" Oil/canvas – 24" x 18" Paul Sandberg is a reconstituted artist originally from Northern Ontario, now residing in Dorset. His emotive art and eclectic philosophy have been tempered by dining with kings to sleeping on park benches, from sailing the oceans to trekking the streets, from London to Hong Kong. Now as a single father of two boys, he divides his time between his art and bringing up of his children. Edgar Davids is the 9th of a series of 10 works called "The Winning Moment". The series was created as a reaction to the commercial markets fixation to blasé decorative art and the non-representation of emotive figures. Images displaying a high level of intense emotion were difficult to find and models to display high levels of emotion was impractical. But the nature of football lends itself to a beautiful imagery, with many images sources. Thus "The Winning Moment" centered around football 10 natural images with Edgar Davids as one. |
