My collage/painting is of Mido - as part of the Spurs team and a player for his native country.

When I was collecting news cuttings and looking to find who this person was, I became very aware of how much pressure the media puts on all its stars - good and bad press followed his every word and act.  As the weeks went by, I felt I had to incorporate this element in my ‘portrait’ of Mido to show him surrounded by public worship, speculation and censure. It goes with the territory of being a football hero and I hope I’ve encompassed this element along with his obvious team spirit, as a Spurs player’.
