My piece captures the moment of joy and glory, revealing the heat of play, the colour, the energy the commitment with which it takes to get to that moment.

Flickering embers of imagination which lie under all that we are, ignited by the action of spirit. The release of emotion in living the dream. The weekly routine of frustration and hard work, the intense rivalry, the unquestionable comradeship, lit up by unforgettable glimpses of intense and improbable magic. This is passion at its purest. Waves of emotion, overwhelming, you forget to breathe, your senses are heightened beyond the laws of space and time, you wait forever, the suspense, like fireworks waiting to explode and then the whole place goes off. You and thousands screaming as if roaring. It’s the most important thing there is.
