Auction Closes with Big Win for Kith & Kids

The Canvassing Spurs on-line auction closed on Wednesday 25th October with Spurs fans and art collectors raising over £30,000 for children and young people with disabilities. The winning pieces from the preview exhibition all fetched above their reserve price and pieces ranging from signed photos from ex-players to signed boot-prints from the current squad all sold well.

Having bid on some of the art himself, Martin Jol said, "I am so pleased to see Spurs fans come together and bid so generously to help our local charity. I wish Kith & Kids good luck in the future and we look forward to hosting them at White Hart Lane in the new year!"

On behalf of everyone at Kith & Kids and Tottenham Hotspur FC I would like to thank everyone who has been involved with this event, without so many acts of generosity it could not have succeeded and we are thrilled with the amazing amount of money that has been raised!

Kind regards, Danielle Taylor - Events and Fundraising Manager

About Canvassing Spurs

"Canvassing Spurs" builds on Kith & Kids partnership with Tottenham Hostpur FC and seeks to bring together the two worlds of art and sport at their highest and most inspiring level of expertise

Premier league Spurs are adored by supporters and sports fans for the brilliance, style and flourish they bring to the game, exemplified by players past and present such as Pat Jennings, Gary Lineker and Ledley King. The stadium at White hart Lane is one of the iconic homes of football.

"Canvassing Spurs" asks artists to immerse themselves in "the beautiful game" and create artworks in any medium that interpret the dynamism, energy and style of Spurs. Submissions are welcomed from professional artists and art students, and a number of celebrity artists are also invited to submit pieces.

We have already recieved a number of superb entries, some of which you can take a look on the View Artwork page.

The body of work will form a public exhibition and will be auctioned online, to benefit Kith & Kids work with children and young people with disabilities. Spurs stakeholders, supporters and other art and sports enthusiasts are invited to place bids on their favourite piece!

A number of Awards will be made, and artists may choose whether to have their work included for the Awards. These include a first prize of £1000 and further prizes of £750 and £500.
